Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our team and transferred to your accommodation. Settle in and relax after your journey, soaking in the anticipation of the adventure ahead.
Your day begins with an early morning excursion to Mabamba Swamp, a haven for birdwatchers and home to the iconic shoebill stork. Glide through the tranquil waters in search of these majestic birds and a myriad of other wetland species. Later, visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, where lush greenery and vibrant blooms provide a serene backdrop for birdwatching and relaxation.
Today, you’ll depart for Murchison Falls National Park, embarking on a scenic drive through Uganda’s countryside. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a thrilling rhino tracking experience, offering a rare opportunity to encounter these magnificent creatures in the wild. Continue your journey to Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile River plunges through a narrow gorge, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
Spend the day exploring the diverse landscapes of Murchison Falls National Park. Embark on game drives through the savannah, keeping an eye out for elephants, giraffes, and lions roaming the plains. Later, cruise along the Nile River, marveling at the abundance of birdlife and enjoying panoramic views of the falls.
Journey to Kibale Forest National Park, a pristine wilderness renowned for its rich biodiversity. Over the next two days, delve into the heart of the forest on guided treks in search of chimpanzees and other primates. Listen to the melodic calls of tropical birds echoing through the canopy as you traverse the verdant trails, immersing yourself in the sights and sounds of the jungle.
Today, venture into the bird-rich Semliki Valley, an ecologically diverse region teeming with avian treasures. Explore the lush forests and wetlands, accompanied by experienced guides who will help you spot a wide variety of bird species, including the elusive shoebill stork. Take in the beauty of the landscape and marvel at the abundance of wildlife that calls this area home.
Your journey continues to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where sprawling savannahs, dense forests, and shimmering lakes await. Spend the next two days exploring the park’s diverse ecosystems on game drives and boat safaris. Keep your binoculars ready as you search for iconic species such as the African elephant, lion, and leopard, while also enjoying exceptional birdwatching opportunities along the way.
Set off for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Over the next three days, embark on unforgettable gorilla trekking expeditions, trekking through dense foliage in search of these incredible primates. In addition to gorilla encounters, immerse yourself in the culture of local communities, gaining insights into their traditional way of life.
Your final destination is Lake Mburo National Park, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Uganda’s countryside. Spend the day exploring the park’s diverse habitats on game drives and nature walks, with opportunities to spot a variety of wildlife, including zebras, hippos, and crocodiles. As the sun sets over the savannah, reflect on the incredible experiences and memories you’ve made during your journey.
After breakfast, bid farewell to Uganda’s wilderness as you make your way back to Entebbe. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time to explore the town or relax before transferring to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
