Depart for Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest protected area, known for its dramatic landscapes and abundant wildlife. Spend two days exploring the park, enjoying game drives and boat safaris along the Nile River. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of the “Big Five” as well as other iconic African species.
Travel to Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for its population of chimpanzees and other primates. Spend two days trekking through the forest, searching for these charismatic apes and encountering a variety of bird and mammal species along the way.
Continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its diverse ecosystems and impressive wildlife populations. Enjoy game drives across the savannah plains, searching for elephants, lions, and other members of the “Big Five.” Take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, home to one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa.
Head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the ultimate destination for gorilla trekking. Spend three days exploring the forest on guided treks, tracking mountain gorillas through dense vegetation and observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. In addition to gorilla trekking, enjoy nature walks and birdwatching in the forest.
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe. Depending on your departure time, you may have some free time to explore the town or do some last-minute souvenir shopping. Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your classic Big 5 Uganda wildlife safari.
